Westbrae

One of that city's oldest neighborhoods, full of character, cultural diversity, and residential charm.

Welcome to Westbrae

One of Berkeley's most affordable communities, Westbrae is also one of that city's oldest neighborhoods, full of character, cultural diversity, and residential charm. Located in North Berkeley, around the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Gilman Street, it's home to gorgeous community gardens, a spacious park and playgrounds, making it an ideal place to raise a family.

On Westbrae's attractive tree-lined streets you'll find Westbrae real estate, which includes Craftsman bungalows, Spanish revival cottages, postwar suburban-style homes, and a few Victorians and farmhouses from when the town was first settled.

The jewel of Westbrae is the five-acre Cedar-Rose Park, a grassy expanse with two fenced playgrounds, picnic areas, tennis courts and more. Not far away, James Kenney Park offers summer camp programs and facilities for basketball, tennis, soccer, volleyball and baseball/softball. At the beautiful Peralta Community Garden, you'll find families relaxing on benches around a soothing pond.

Gilman Street is the nexus for neighborhood shopping, where you'll find bagels, coffee, a grocery store, and more.
