About Melissa Bush

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Melissa has worked in the real estate industry since 2009. Having begun her career in the auction industry with Christie’s, she has always possessed a passion for art, antiques, historical architecture and design. Melissa received her undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University and moved to London to focus on her graduate degree in the History of Art and Connoisseurship with Christie’s. After completing her degree, Melissa worked in New York for Doyle Auction House.

Returning to the Bay Area, Melissa became a Realtor and worked with investors in both Contra Costa and Alameda counties. In 2010, she was recruited to run the operations at the Oakland Association of Realtors, and in 2012 was promoted to CEO. During her career with the Oakland Association of Realtors, Melissa was actively involved with the National Association of REALTORS and California Association of Realtors, serving on the Association Executive Advisory Committee and Consumer Communications Committee. Shifting back to sales in 2015, Melissa became the Sales Manager for another local East Bay brokerage, before joining the Red Oak team in 2018. As the Broker of Record, she brings a diverse knowledge of the real estate industry from operational management, sales, legal disputes and conflict resolution.

Melissa resides with her family in Moraga. Second to real estate, her passion lies in art history, historic preservation and horticulture, volunteering over the years as a docent for Filoli historical house and gardens.
