Welcome to Castro Valley
Surrounded by canyons and hills, Castro Valley is an unincorporated community adjacent to
Anthony Chabot Regional Park and the city of
Hayward. Rooted in ranching and agriculture, its residents still enjoy a bit of that rural character along with easy access to services and commuter routes.
The newly redesigned downtown is convenient and forward thinking. A long vacant department store has been reimagined as the
Castro Valley Marketplace which brings epicurean eateries, artisanal cocktails, and local makers to the center of town.
Often described as being in the middle of everywhere, it's an ideal base to access all parts of the Bay Area. BART and AC Transit offer local transportation and the Oakland International Airport is nearby.
Castro Valley neighborhoods integrate well with the natural surroundings and include new construction, period homes from the 1920's, post-war
starter homes, as well as authentic
Eichlers.
