Red Oak’s New Oakland Office Opens at Alcatraz + Telegraph!

Red Oak Telegraph office location
We’ve always desired an office in the East Bay flatlands, easily accessible by our San Francisco clients, and with our new Telegraph office, at 6363 Telegraph Ave., in Oakland’s Bushrod neighborhood near the vibrant intersection of Telegraph Ave. and Alcatraz Ave., we’ve achieved it!

We officially opened our doors at our newest Oakland location on December 4, which means easier access for both our agents and clients to a wider, more diverse segment of the East Bay population.

With our acquisition of fellow independent brokerage Marvin Gardens Real Estate in August 2019, we’ve added three additional offices for a total of five, including the latest.

The Office!

As with all of our offices, the Telegraph office reflects our quintessential East Bay style -- modern, sunlit layout with open spaces and an abundance of plants. Our local ownership and staff helped create this space where we aim to help our agents and clients feel at home while we focus on theirs.

We wanted to create something that was representative of our brand and the people we serve, an attractive and inspiring space as unique as our community. It features a sleek, open layout and boho chic design that interplays both comfort and light.

But you be the judge and come for a visit.

Local furniture store, SOBU, run by husband-and-wife Laleh and Alessandro from their storefront in Oakland’s lower Rockridge neighborhood, outfitted some of the space from their collection of thoughtfully sourced and selected handmade furniture from Europe and the Bay Area.

We worked with local contractor Blue Heron Builders, Tony Acosta (husband of one of our agents -- Lisa Robesch) and Clauco Garofalo on the build out, including specially designed lighting.

With large windows that stream sunlight, an abundance of plant life and ample comfortable seating- interaction and collaboration in a non typical office environment was our aim. A play of materials, lighting, and accent walls complement the comfortable seating. Hanging plants, big leafy palms and cacti add life and visual variety to corners and walls both indoors and out.

Oakland artist Sita Rupe, our landscape designer who also helped at our Montclair office, designed our cacti arrangements on Telegraph, and Broadway Terrace Nursery created the interior floral jungle design. Wallpapers, seating and overall aesthetic was designed by NY based interior designer Jenn Mann Interiors known for her eclectic urban style.

We made sure to include a cappuccino machine, which we’ll use to pump out coffees for the parents on the Peralta Elementary School pick up/drop off circuit just down the street. And we couldn’t be happier that the Oakland outpost for Napa-based brewery Tannery Bend Beerworks who will be opening up next door in the next few months.

Above all, the space is designed to foster connection and creativity.

If you’re in the neighborhood, drop by for a visit and a cappuccino!
