Leaper, Leslie & Rienzo is an East Bay real estate team with longstanding connections to the communities it serves. The team consists of Patrick Leaper, Gillian Leslie, and Demetrius Chapin-Rienzo. Patrick has been in the East Bay for nearly six decades, while Gillian and Demetrius were both born and raised in Berkeley, bringing a lifetime of local knowledge and perspective to their work. Formerly known as the Leaper Team, they have been among Red Oak Realty's top-producing teams for many years, including as the company's highest producers in 2023.
Patrick co-founded Red Oak Realty in 1976 and brings more than 50 years of experience in East Bay real estate. His experience spans residential sales, brokerage management, residential and commercial development, providing clients with a broad understanding of the factors that influence property value and long-term market performance.
Gillian Leslie has spent more than 20 years representing local buyers and sellers, developing a depth of transactional knowledge that allows her to effectively manage complex real estate transactions and navigate nuanced negotiation and communication styles.
Demetrius is a graduate of UC Berkeley Law who also enjoyed a long and successful career in the hospitality industry before entering real estate. His diverse professional background brings a unique and highly skilled approach to client service, contracts, negotiations, and real property matters.
Over the course of their careers, the team has represented thousands of buyers and sellers through changing market conditions. Their work focuses on first-time homebuyers and sellers, transitioning buyers and sellers, multi-unit properties, trust and probate sales, and architecturally significant homes. They also advise clients on preparing properties for market, drawing on extensive local experience and a longstanding network of contractors, inspectors, designers, and tradespeople.
The team's work is grounded in transparency and long-term relationships, with a commitment to providing straightforward advice. A portion of every commission is donated to the Red Oak Opportunity Foundation, founded by Patrick and his Red Oak Realty partners in 1980, supporting housing and educational initiatives throughout the community.
