Going into fall and the holiday season there are so many wonderful opportunities to reach out to others and give back to our community.
With that in mind, our own Elijah Fletcher of the Fletcher Real Estate Team is an ambassador of One Warm Coat, and each year he hosts a clothing drive. This year he is working in partnership with The Dorothy Day House to distribute the coats to those in need in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
Here is a link to the fundraiser website with information about the coat drive's origins. There is a collection bin at the Red Oak Realty office in Montclair. Drop off hours are 10AM-3PM Monday-Friday. The last day to make a donation is Friday, October 15th.
When you drop it off, be sure to take a pic of yourself wearing or donating the coat and use the tag #onewarmcoat in your social media. Encourage your friends to make a donation too!
Donations are tax-deductible, there are slips on the donation box for you to fill out and give to your CPA.
We deeply care for our communities so we established Red Oak Opportunity Foundation (ROOF), a 501(c) 3 nonprofit charitable organization, in 1985 to donate funds to organizations throughout the East Bay that weren't receiving significant funding elsewhere.
