I love houses! I love going into them and contemplating their history while also imagining their potential — the simplest house can be the raw material for something elegant.
I firmly believe that home ownership is one of the strongest building blocks of our community, the true "American Dream". Not in some corny, Hollywood way, but as a core value of who we are. Home ownership builds communities, and, for most of us, it is the best savings and investment plan of all. You don't see anyone gathering around their 401K on Thanksgiving Day!
The real estate field is no longer a "sales" business. You, as a client, are much more sophisticated than people of the past. The Consumer Revolution, The Information Age, and of course the Internet, have leveled the playing field regarding the seller, the agent, and the buyer. Our field is, more than ever, a customer service field. You want an agent that acts as guides or enablers, bringing the buyer and seller together and finding the path to make transactions seamless and beneficial to their clients. That's the role of contemporary real estate professionals — allow me to be this type of advocate for you.
I am an extremely resourceful person — I can help you find a roofer or a plumber, or even a florist, Volvo mechanic or a gourmet vegetarian Taiwanese restaurant. These assets are what really make up our community, and I will be happy to help you find them.
I work hard to give Nordstrom service in every instance. With every client and transaction, I emphasize dedication, determination, strong work ethic, and, above all, client satisfaction.
Community Involvement
We value our internal culture at Red Oak Realty, and are proud of the contributions our Agents make to it. Early on, we recognized the exceptional qualities of one of our agents, Judy Boe (now retired). These qualities were expressed as-
"She conducts herself always with great equanimity;
She is unselfish in giving of her time in assisting others;
She maintains the highest level of integrity and honesty."
In order to honor these qualities and in order to recognize these same qualities in others, the “JUDY BOE AWARD” was established, to be given to others who displayed such qualities.
In 2005, Jimmy was the second Agent to be presented with this award and it has been given only twice since then.
The Red Oak Opportunity Foundation (R.O.O.F.) was established in 1985 to give back to the East Bay community we serve. In 2006, Jimmy was elected the first Executive Director of R.O.O.F. In this role, Jimmy would visit many of the recipient organizations to see first hand the good work they were doing in our community and he also coordinated with those organizations to speak about their charity at our office meetings. Jimmy served in this role until 2012, but continues to contribute to R.O.O.F.
Jimmy continues to support his fellow neighbors in the Richmond Annex and throughout the Bay Area through community safety, art education, and shelter for the unhoused.
