Get to Know Me

Hi, I'm Elijah Fletcher. I grew up in the Bay Area, originally in San Francisco, and then Marin County, and finally Berkeley. Home was wherever my family was. I'm one of seven kids, so it was always bustling. Growing up, I looked up to my dad a lot. His first career was a highschool headmaster. Then he decided to start a real estate business. I admired how he made people feel at ease when buying or selling their homes. When I was little, I thought I'd be a musician or an athlete, or maybe even a history teacher.

I loved sports and spending time with my dog, Buddha. These things made my childhood special. When I was older, I realized that home isn't just a building. It's where we keep our happiest memories.

Everything changed for me when my dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's. He needed help, and I felt this was my time to step up. But I was scared. What if I couldn't do it? Real estate seemed so big and a bit scary. I joined him, but it felt like none of the other agents really understood me. I wasn't a salesperson at heart; I was an artist. I had a negative association with sales people. I didn't want to be pushy or make anyone feel uncomfortable, but how could I help my dad and be true to who I am?

Then, one day, something clicked. I realized that many people in this field came from different backgrounds. Like teachers or bartenders, they found a way to make a difference. I didn't need to change who I was. I just needed to show people I cared. Instead of selling houses, I focused on helping families find places where they could make happy memories. I listened, shared honest advice, and made sure they felt like part of my family. Doing it this way made real estate feel right for me.

Over the years, helping my dad turned into more than just work. I found my place. Working in real estate changed my life. I now know it's about making a positive impact. Matching people with the right services and putting down roots in the community is incredibly rewarding. I love hearing from my past clients about the memories and joy their home brings them and when they know they can count on me to guide them. I hope my kids learn from me that being true to yourself is always the best way to help others. I want them to see that caring and listening can change the world, one home at a time.
