Get to Know Me

I’m delighted to introduce myself as a proud member of the Red Oak family.

Raised by my Irish-American grandmother in Waimanalo, Hawaii, cultural and generational perspectives were revealed to me through a kaleidoscope-view of breadth and diversity. These extremes, while at times challenging, ultimately readied my enthusiastic embrace of the East Bay as my new home. It was here I met Cecily, my S.F.-born and Berkeley-raised wife, and in turn raised three children of our own, all Berkeley High School and U.C. grads.

After an early career in telecommunications I traded in my Bay Area commute for the particular joys of air travel with senior executive roles in international business development. A couple of passports filled with country stamps later, I'm reveling in my East Bay roots, active in my cherished Richmond community.

When it was time for me to bring my professional life back home, it was my experience as a buyer with Red Oak that led me to consider Real Estate as a second career. I saw first hand how my agent worked as part of a team of proven, dedicated specialists in marketing, finance and compliance. I discovered through personal experience that there is no other brokerage quite like Red Oak Realty.

I've learned invaluable lessons living in diverse cultural environments, negotiating sophisticated contractual transactions amidst ever-changing conditions and successfully raising a family in the East Bay. This education is brought to bear in fiercely advocating for my clients, and putting them one step ahead of their competition.

Buying and selling a home is among the most consequential efforts in our lives. It’s a complicated process, and one too easily compromised by even the slightest misstep. My clients know I have their back and they can trust me as an informed and honest advocate who measures his success by their satisfaction.
