None of us are born members of NAR. The passion comes from learning how to serve the community and by helping others. I am lucky to have lived in different parts of the Bay Area. I’ve traveled extensively, studied at the Universitat de Barcelona and lived in Belize. I am also a U.C. Berkeley graduate. All of these experiences led me to enjoy meeting and learning about new people.

 

My passion for real estate started when my mother, a founding member of several Bay Area landmark restaurants, moved our family home onto the site of a rundown 1890’s Victorian house in Berkeley to create a beautiful oasis. Growing up I learned how to repair, remodel and re-envision houses to make them more aesthetically pleasing, comfortable and green. Developing these skills led to a passion for buying my own properties, both turn-key and dilapidated, and to rework them into visions of beauty and style. Our Oakland home even appeared on HGTV as a premier landscape makeover.

Helping people has always been a passion. I’ve worked as a firefighter/paramedic, special operations captain and a staff battalion chief specializing in regional disasters and recovery.
