Hercules California
As a newly developing city,
the appeal of Hercules is as strong as the name: affordable
homes with "curb appeal," a peaceful, close-knit community feel,
above average schools, moderate climate, safe streets, new
parks, and a range of modern community services and activities
for children and families. Hercules also has an abundance of
open space areas and trails throughout the community, providing
the opportunity to spot wildlife and enjoy amazing bay views.
This growing, culturally diverse city offers a range of
affordable housing options. Homes in Herculees provide much more
value for the dollar than other East Bay cities. Newer homes
have many modern conveniences including multimedia rooms,
technologically advanced kitchens, computer-ready rooms, and an
array of built-in appliances.
Day-to-day life in Hercules is pleasantly slow paced. People are
friendly, lines are short, and parking is easily available. All
the basics can be found close by—from local hair salons, grocery
stores, post office, dry cleaners, copy shops, banks, and movie
theaters.
Hercules is conveniently located along the I-80 corridor and
many residents commute to San Francisco and Sacramento. While
the drive is longer than from other areas of the East Bay,
residents gladly make the trade-off for the higher quality of
living that Contra Costa County provides. And the proximity of
Hercules to the many vacation areas in California is a big draw
for families. In addition to San Francisco being close by, it's
about an hour to the ocean, three hours to skiing and the Sierra
Nevada, two hours to Carmel and Monterey, four hours to Yosemite
and less than two hours to the wineries of Napa Valley.
